Does the finder need an app?
No. They tap the tag with their phone (or type the tag's short code on our site) and the profile opens straight in the browser — on iPhone and Android alike.
What if their phone doesn't read NFC?
Every tag carries its short code. Typing it on the WiseTag site opens exactly the same profile, so even the oldest smartphone gets your details.
Is there a subscription?
No. You buy the tag once and the profile is yours — editing it is free, forever.
What if I change my number or move house?
Log in, edit the profile, done. Changes go live instantly and the physical tag never needs replacing or re-writing.
Is my home address shown publicly?
Only what you choose. A town or neighbourhood is enough for a finder — leave the field blank and nothing is shown at all.
Does the tag need charging?
Never. There's no battery and no electronics to fail — the chip is powered by the phone that taps it.
What if it's not right for us?
